Fertility Naturally
integrative approach to healthcare

Nikki Chad is a registered naturopath and member of the New Zealand Society of Naturopaths.  She specialises in natural fertility, pregnancy and postnatal health care for women and babies alongside her work as a doula. Nikki uses an integrative approach to healthcare, incorporating scientific diagnostic testing methods with the use of natural therapies, lifestyle changes, exercise and stress management.

"After years of struggling with the symptoms of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and numerous visits to doctors and specialists, I turned to natural therapies.  Within three weeks of starting a new herbal remedy I started seeing results. After continuing treatment for a few months the results had such an impact on me that it created a desire to change my career and in 2004 I began studying Naturopathy.  In 2005 I gave birth to my daughter Taylah (pictured left) and this inspired me to specialise in the area of fertility and pregnancy.  In 2008 I completed a Certificate in Doula Education through Optimum Birth enabling me to assist a couple's progress from pre-conception, through the pregnancy and labour and postnatally. "

Nikki is currently studying towards the newly NZQA approved Bachelor of Natural Medicine through South Pacific College of Natural Therapies. She has also completed a Hypnobirthing course and post graduate courses in "Practical herbal therapy" and "The use of herbs during pregnancy" to keep her skills and knowledge current, adding value to her client's consultations.  In 2009 she began writing articles on natural health for the Magic Beans website.

Nikki believes in inspiring people to take a proactive approach to health care, maintaining wellness, rather than the management of ill health that may be preventable.
