Fertility package - $630 (health fund rebates available)

This package includes an initial consultation and 2 follow up consultations for both partners, a CD of a recorded copy of webinars on male and female infertility, wellness guidelines, blood type diet and unlimited email contact until you conceive.  This package can be used before undergoing IVF, ICSI or intrauterine insemination to increase the chance of success.

Natural fertility treatment:

Both partners undergo a comprehensive health assessment and the treatment plan is based on the results of blood tests and a hair tissue mineral analysis which tests for heavy metal toxicity and mineral status.  It is essential for both partners to be free of heavy metals before conceiving as this greatly affects a man's fertility (sperm that is exposed to heavy metal toxicity is more likely to have poor morphology and motility) and for the woman, the heavy metals can cross the placenta affecting the health of the foetus.  In some cases this can be the cause of recurrent miscarriages or foetal abnormalities.

Aside from taking supplements and herbs the treatment plan involves dietary changes including eating as organically as possible to avoid pesticides, hormones and growth promoting antibiotics in foods such as meat and dairy; drinking filtered water out of a glass bottle, not plastic; eliminating tea, coffee and alcohol and increasing exercise.  If this sounds radically different to your current diet and lifestyle then it would be easier for you to start implementing some of these changes well before your first consultation.

Length of treatment:

This varies for each couple, however the average length of treatment is 3-4 months.  If a high level of heavy metal exposure is detected, then treatment could take around 12 months.

Cost of treatment plan:

Again, this varies for each couple, but most couples should expect to spend around $150-$200 per person per month on supplements and herbs.
Ovulation test kits can be purchased for $10.80 for 10 tests or $5.50 for 5 tests.
